ESCALATE engaged with stakeholders as part of a joint stand with its AEVETO partner project NextETRUCK during the second annual ALICE Logistics Innovation Summit, held from 23–24 October 2025 in Brussels, Belgium. In addition, ESCALATE was presented as part of the session ‘Beyond diesel: How transport companies are powering the green shift?’.
The second edition of the ALICE annual conference saw significant growth, with registrations from experts and industry partners in freight sectors related to road, maritime and warehousing doubling compared to the previous year.
The ALICE Logistics Innovation Summit explored how innovation in road transport can enhance efficiency, sustainability and resilience across European logistics. Discussions focused on the electrification of long-haul trucking, including the deployment of charging corridors and interoperability across networks. Experts examined digital transformation through AI, automation and data sharing to optimise fleet management, route planning and emissions reduction. Collaboration between industry and policymakers was emphasised as essential to accelerating the uptake of zero-emission vehicles and integrating them into wider logistics systems. The summit also addressed the role of infrastructure, standards and innovation ecosystems in supporting a more connected and decarbonised road transport network.
Overall, the increasing number of participants and the strong connections fostered with AEVETO projects on the exhibition floor, including FlexMCS, ZEFES and NextETRUCK, will help intensify outreach and cooperation with ALICE and its members.
