Busworld Europe 2025 took place in Brussels from 6–9 October 2025, bringing together 559 exhibitors from 40 countries in one of the largest gatherings for the bus and coach industry. Among these participants, ESCALATE partner ORTEM also engaged with stakeholders and promoted our EU-funded project. The event proved a major success, attracting leading manufacturers from across Europe and around the world.

Busworld Europe 2025 offered an exceptional showcase of vehicles representing every segment of collective passenger road transport, from city and intercity buses to long-distance coaches, midibuses, minibuses, VIP shuttles, and even autonomous models. The exhibition also covered all major drivetrain technologies, underlining the industry’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

The ESCALATE Project was featured at ORTEM’s stand in Hall 6–13, where the consortium presented its shared vision and mission towards achieving zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs). The stand drew significant international attention, welcoming visitors from countries such as Poland, Hungary, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, India, China, the United States, and beyond.

Throughout the exhibition, the ESCALATE Project’s core objectives were highlighted — focusing on high-efficiency long-haul battery-electric and hybrid HDVs, cost-effective standardised modular electric powertrains, connected multi-energy fast-charging concepts, and digital twin technologies. Informative brochures detailed the five pilot projects involving electric and hydrogen-powered HDVs.

Through this participation, the ESCALATE consortium reaffirmed its dedication to supporting the European Union’s zero-carbon emission objectives and to advancing sustainable transport solutions for the future.
